Stop everything for Fred Everthing & Teutu as they join forces to give us four aspects of 'Arrêt Infini' on the icreasingly essential Winding Road Records.

With Mar De Novo's 'Last Disco On Earth' EP (see review HERE) following Loverbirds' 12" 'They Call Me' (see review HERE), the label's long and winding road have landed at the door of Montreal-based Fred Everything  and Teuteu.

The prolific producer, DJ and label owner with a career spanning over 30 years has released music on labels such as 20/20 Vision, OM, Defected, and his own Lazy Days Recordings; remixed everyone from Jazzanova to Groove Armada and Curtis Mayfield; and played everywhere from Fabric and Smart Bar to Space and Coachella and last seen on YATM on Thirt Years Of Freerange Vol. 2 (see HERE).  He makes records of depth and quality that blend vintage synths with modern production flair, moving dancefloors with musicality and substance which also makes hin a sort after remixer!

Teuteu is a producer, composer, bandleader and DJ whose musical journey began at an early age, teaching himself piano before immersing himself in the world of production. His sound navigates between organic improvisation and electronic textures, creating immersive and forward-thinking productions.

Fred and Teuteu met at an event in Montreal, where Teuteu was layering keyboards over a DJ set. After running into each other at other parties across the city, they linked up in the studio, and the result is ‘Arrêt Infini’, their first release on Winding Road Records. It’s a lush and atmospheric deep house composition, blending dreamy pianos, optimistic strings and bubbling percussion. Classily arranged across four impeccable versions, this is a record that will delight dancers as well as denizens of hazy afterparty hours.

• ‘Arrêt Infini - Part 1’ kicks things off with an oozing bassline pinned down by fresh house beats. Before long, it blends in blissed-out strings and pads which evoke a lush, tropical atmosphere. A seductive vocal intones, “I want you to try me … ‘cause I know we can make it, OK?” The journey then continues into a crescendo of lush harmonies that make everything feel like summer.

• ‘Arrêt Infini - Part 2’ moves things along with a tracky deep house number. Clean beats and repetitive bassline bring the drive, and warm pads float above. An elegant and timeless slice of electronica, made for the dancefloor.

• ‘Arrêt Infini - Reprise’ is a beautifully serene take on the original. Congas and strings create a mellow sonic tapestry which ambles lazily through the rainforest in your mind. The beats are restrained, the Amazonian vibes take over. This is one for those hazy afterhours, enveloping you like a warm hug.

• ‘Arrêt Infini - Rhythm & Bass’ is inspired by late 90s spacey bonus beats, reminiscent of the Idjut Boys and DJ Harvey. This is a percussive workout for the club, bridging the gap between different phases of the night.

Is that Mont-Saint-Michel on the cover? Or is it St. Michael's Mount in Cornwall? Either way, they'll be playing Mar de Novo's 'Last Disco On Earth' this summer as it's a big slice of fun disco/boogie/funk.

You'll recall the long and winding road of Loverbirds' last release before the 12" (see review HERE) and the label is at it again on this one.

• ‘Last Disco on Earth’ is a huge slab of disco-fuelled house. Fat grooves, cheeky melodies (Grange Hill meets Studio 54 anyone?) and cool glitchy production. Uplifting and energetic - guaranteed to put a smile on the dancefloor. Digital release date: 1 May 2026

• ‘Over There’ is a twisted slice of bass-heavy undulating electronica, punctuated by crazy interludes and samples that fly in from nowhere. Digital release date: 1 May 2026

• ‘Uncanny Valley’ is a sun-kissed downtempo groover, with dreamy strings, guitars, and horns. Wonderful chilled musicality and like waking up to a summer morning. Digital release date: 17 April 2026

• ‘Reflection’ is a blissed-out sanctuary of space, peace, and calm. Feel-good slow-motion vibes, with guitars and piano intertwining alongside haunting vocals. Digital release date: 27 March 2026

• ‘Find Love’ rounds off the package with a melancholy Balearic sunset groove, with soft Rhodes keys nestling alongside synth lines, telling stories as it goes. Digital release date: 1 May 2026.

Mar De Novo is/are two producers, one of Italian descent, one with roots in Brazil, that have a quirky (to say the least) style and if you said 'Feel-Good' again, you'd be spot on!

Lovebirds (aka Sebastian  Döring) has been doing his thing for many a year now but this "slinky 3 track 12" has been the first on Winding Road since the hit 'Want You In My Soul' in 2011.

You'll recall 'Want You In My Soul' featured the vocals of Stee Downs who first came to light on the release of 'Put A Little Love In My Soul' on Sonar Kollektiv (that was a big track for DJ Gilles Peterson back in the day; that's 2009).

There's a phased release before the 12":

• ‘They Call Me’ is a funk-fuelled Detroit style jam with bluesy vocals, solid beat, rasping horns, and live bass from Declan MacDermott who you'll recall from his 'Doin' It All 4 U' EP on Delusions of Grandeur (inc. Tom Trago and lovetempo remixes - see review HERE). (Digital release date: 20 February 2026)

• ‘Smooth & Fatfree’ is a silky downtempo groover with the fattest bass this side of Berlin, heavy 80s beats, and super smooth keys. (Digital release date: 13 March 2026)

• ‘Bali Birds’ is a slinky deep house groove, with a hypnotic bassline nestling between mellow chords, reminiscent of Super Discount vibes. (Digital release date: 3 April 2026)

‘Bali Birds’ is featured on Colour & Pitch sessions, March 2026 with Will Sumsuch (see below)..
