Swiss saxophonist Gilles Torrent presents 'Buleria', a powerful modal jazz album that channels the spirit of John Coltrane while forging a deeply personal path through harmonic complexity and raw improvisation.

Combining original compositions with Coltrane standards, the album features standout moments like the flamenco-infused title track and the contemplative opener 'Danse Tropical', showcasing Torrent’s expressive range and spiritual depth

Backed by a responsive, organic quartet, 'Buleria' is both a tribute to classic modal jazz and a fresh exploration of emotional and musical boundaries; not only that, it's got a cover version of 'Naima' on it too!
